Residents of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, are searching for a possible monkey on their neighborhood. Three people have reported hearing a animal near their homes, and one eyewitness described it as a few feet tall, with the color of an orangutan and a tail like a spider monkey. Unfortunately, so far, no photographic evidence of the monkey exists.

Scientists at Bangor University have demonstrated that talking out loud actually improves control over a task, above and beyond what is achieved by inner speech. Our ability to generate specific self instructions is actually one of the best tools we have for cognitive control, and it simply works better when said aloud.
So there you have it... Talking out loud, when the mind is not wandering, could actually be a sign of high cognitive functioning. Rather than being mentally ill, it can make you intellectually more competent!

Literally "the Fifth of May," Cinco de Mayo is a Mexican Holiday celebrating the Battle of Puebla, which took place on May 5, 1862. It was a military victory in resistance to foreign occupation against France
Mexico’s celebrates its independence from Spain on September 16... and is a much more important holiday in Mexico. Cinco de Mayo is celebrated more in the United States of America, by Mexicans and Americans alike, than it is in Mexico.

Here is Missouri, highways have been closed due to water and flooding.
However, yesterday morning, both directions of Highway 169 southwest of Minneapolis, Minnesota was closed due to... corn!
A passenger vehicle made a U-turn in front of a semi-trailer’s path, causing it to swerve through the median where it overturned. The semi was carrying close to 80,000 pounds of corn at the time, and the "corn-colored mess" covered both sides of the highway!
