As many of you know, especially those who follow me on social media, I enjoy posting puns. I also enjoy being involved in "Pun Wars", something I've often shared here as well.

Sometimes, I'll just come across a post and leave a comment. Just because. When that happens, I often get a few likes by others. 

Well, one day, Tim Hawkins made a post. I couldn't resist. It turned out to be the most "liked" comment I ever made:

1. Accept that no pun is actually Good, but that the true nature of a good pun is to be so terrible that it becomes good.


2. Say every pun that occurs to you. I’m so serious about this, sometimes the most well received puns will be ones you considered not saying.


3. ALWAYS laugh at your own puns, even if nobody else is. (Especially if nobody else is.)


4. Know that you are hilarious. Puns are a limitless resource and you have taken it as your duty to bring this gift to humanity. You are a hero.

Those Pun Wars

As many of you know, I enjoy puns and word play. Any chance I get an opportunity to slip one into the conversations makes it worth every effort. Unfortunately, there are a few that it may annoy after a while (like Lydia). One of the reasons why I post most of them on Facebook... it's my outlet.

I really get excited when a chance comes along to get involved in a "Pun War". I just can't resist the fun! Here is a recent example:

I Made It On The TV News

Okay, perhaps not big news.... lol

One of our local television stations does a feature on their facebook page called the "OzarkSoundoff", asking viewers to comment with their opinion on a featured story of the day. The station will then feature the highlights on their evening news.

Last night, I got home from sledding with the kids, and while supper was in the oven, I participated. I did one comment, and then had to add a longer one. Of course, my comment was full of puns. The more 'likes' it gets, the more it gets bumped up. It looks like I won:

 
Anyway, it was pretty neat to see my comment on the news that evening!
