- Their dreams
- A star
- An angel
- A dove

In the news:
Pictures of a gorilla and Santa Claus have surfaced in Garner, Kansas.
Police had installed motion-activated cameras intended to capture images of mountain lions in a Kansas park. On Monday, interspersed among the images of skunks and coyotes, they found photos of people wearing costumes pretending to be lions wrestling, a gorilla, various monsters and an old person with a walker… with Santa making an appearance during the three nights of high-jinks.
Admitted as "pretty comical" and "creative" by police, the pranksters have not come forward. The cameras were established this month to investigate reports of mountain lions. However, no mountain lions were detected.

Advent Calendars can be cheesy….
After coming up with the idea last year, Annem Hobson says the first cheese calendar will be available to buy next Christmas, 2017. Instead of chocolate, behind each door will be a different piece of cheese. Each piece will be vacuum sealed to preserve quality and the box may have to be refrigerated. Thanks to the online interest and potential demand, manufactures have given Annem the green light. #CheeseNotChoc
So… the major question... When can we expect the BACON Advent Calendar? :P

Politician Who Criticized Squirrels Gets Hospitalized By Squirrel!
In October, the alderman for Chicago’s 21st ward went on a public tirade about “aggressive squirrels,” griping that the furry critters kept eating through the city-supplied garbage cans.
But Brookins had no idea just how “aggressive” squirrels could be. On Nov. 13, the alderman found himself in the hospital with a skull fracture after a squirrel leapt into the path of Brookins’ bike, wrapping itself in the spokes and causing him to flip over the handlebars, The Star Tribune reports.
“I can think of no other reason for this squirrel’s actions than that it was like a suicide bomber, getting revenge,” he told the Tribune.
Sadly, it appears that the squirrel did not survive the incident, based on the photo that Brookins posted. Bookins is still recovering from his serious injuries.

Thanksgiving Facts:
-The first Thanksgiving was held in the autumn of 1621
Thanksgiving didn't become a national holiday until over 200 years later
- It was President  Lincoln who issued an 1863 proclamation calling on Americans to "set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a day of thanksgiving”.
- Thomas Jefferson thought the concept of Thanksgiving was "the most ridiculous idea I’ve ever heard."
- Benjamin Franklin wanted the turkey to be the national bird, not the eagle.
- 91% of Americans eat turkey on Thanksgiving Day.
- Americans eat 46 million turkeys each Thanksgiving, an average of 736 million pounds.
- The average Thanksgiving turkey weighs 15 pounds.
- More than 40 million green bean casseroles are served on Thanksgiving. (Campbell's soup created green bean casserole for an annual cookbook 50 years ago.)
- Twenty percent of cranberries eaten are eaten on Thanksgiving.
- About 50 million pumpkin pies are consumed each Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Fun Fact:
The cranberry is a symbol and a modern diet staple of thanksgiving. Originally called crane berry, it derived its name from its pink blossoms and drooping head, which reminded the Pilgrims of a crane.
Contrary to popular belief, Native Americans did not eat cranberries. They did, however, find them extremely useful for dying fabric and decorating pottery.

A Thanksgiving Fact:
Thanksgiving was almost a fast — not a feast! The early settlers gave thanks by praying and abstaining from food, which is what they planned on doing to celebrate their first harvest, that is, until the Wampanoag Indians joined them and (lucky for us!) turned their fast into a three-day feast!

In the news:
It’s not often you see a deer cruising down a major highway. But Jeremy Roonsburg did.
First, the deer wasn’t actually driving. It was a buck Mike Huntoon and his hunting buddies had caught during an outing a week at Camp Preach No More in Wisconsin. Propped up, hat on and drink in hand, the guys say it took them about an hour to get the buck into place. To them, it was worth the effort. But the video Jeremy shot has garnered thousands of likes and shares, and millions of views in the course of just a few days.

Drones are the latest thing. And if expediency is more important than neatness, drones might be the perfect tool for making Thanksgiving dinner.
The key word is “might.”
Autel Robotics, a drone maker based in Bothell, Washington, recently posted a video showing what happens when a chef uses a drone to make various holiday side dishes. As the video shows, a drone can indeed be used as a cooking tool. But the verdict is still out on whether it should be... What do you think?

If you hit a deer, be sure it’s dead before you place it in your trunk.
Police in Wisconsin shared dashboard camera footage from a bizarre scene where an apparent roadkill deer loaded into a man's trunk turned out to be not so dead. A 59-year-old driver struck a deer on a county road, which he had loaded into his trunk to take home for meat, and reported it to police. When the officer arrived to assess the issue, the deer suddenly sprung back to life! (The deer refused to give a statement and ran into the woods.)

Holiday “porch-pirates” beware!
Los Angeles Police Department officials announced plans to crack down on “porch pirates” — thieves who swipe packages from residents’ front doors. The next time a thief grabs a box off a porch, it could contain a GPS device so undercover officers can track the suspects and learn where they stash their stolen goods.
With the holiday season upon us, police are urging residents not be become victims of any Grinch out there looking to nab valuables. Perhaps less obvious in the digital age is to watch what you post to social media. They suggest not telling the whole internet when you’re going on vacation or showing off your expensive new toys.

Selfie Soda? Yes, Coca-Cola made a bottle that shoots selfies of you drinking!
Created for Coca-Cola Israel's Summer Love outdoor brand event, this latest marketing ploy is a selfie snapping bottle that features a camera in what can only be described as a bottle boot with USB out for transferring your images. The red bootie shoots a selfie whenever it tips past a 70-degree angle, giving you a down-angle image of your face as you gulp down their sweet sugary soda.
The idea is that users will share the resulting pics on Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook… Would you use it?

It may be wise to pay attention to your pet!
Five-year-old Riley Gedge-Duffy, from Northern Ireland, suffered painful burns after accidentally shutting himself in a tumble dryer over the weekend. Riley, who has Downs Syndrome, was rescued after his family's pet dog, a cockapoo named Teddy, raised the alarm - and his family say his injuries would have been far worse had the dog not been there to help. Teddy warned the mother by “barking like mad and running backwards and forwards to the tumble dryer”. Riley was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for burns and bruising to his head. He's now understood to be recovering well… thanks to the pup!
