 - National Macaroni Day. Make your favorite dish using macaroni noodles! Whether it’s hot or cold, it won’t matter as long as it’s delicious.

 - Sunscreen as Make-up. Do your kids hate putting on sunscreen but love playing in your makeup? You can now combine the two. A mom posted on TikTok a video of her using one of her makeup brushes to apply sunscreen on her daughters. The daughters felt like they were getting makeup put on them AND they got full coverage!

 - Bears aren’t dogs. A guy in China got a big surprise when he adopted two puppies. After raising them for two years he discovered they were actually two black bears. The man says he groomed them every day and they were very well behaved. It was only when he saw some information about endangered wild animals that he recognized that he had been illegally keeping endangered animals by accident. He turned the animals in.

 - Horror Fans Coping Better. A new study has found that fans of horror movies are coping better with the coronavirus pandemic. Experts believe that the fact that horror fans like to watch disastrous and apocalyptic movies and shows allows them to deal with real emergencies like coronavirus better and by watching the shows they can get survival tips. To get the study results, researchers tested 300 people about movie preferences and what films they watched. After that, the subjects were asked how they felt about COVID and how they prepared and deal with the pandemic. Those who watched more horror seemed less upset and those who watched doomsday films were more resilient.


 - Hot Playgrounds. Hot weather’s here — it is July after all — and medical docs are reminding parents of the danger heat can pose to kids at a playground. Specifically, the temperature of playground equipment surfaces. Ever slid down a metal slide on a 90+ degree day — in shorts? Docs say temps on some surfaces can exceed 140 degrees.

 - Taco Bell, Grilled Cheese Burrito, Taco Bell's newest menu item riffs on one America's favorite comfort food. Inspired by a classic grilled cheese sandwich, Taco Bell's new Grilled Cheese Burrito has seasoned beef and rice, crunchy red strips with chipotle sauce and sour cream wrapped in a warm tortilla that then gets its own wrapping with a layer of grilled cheese. Vegetarians looking for a cheesy fix can ask Taco Bell to substitute the seasoned beef for beans. The Grilled Cheese Burrito, available for a limited time, will cost ya $2.99.

 - National Strawberry Sundae Day. Combining vanilla or strawberry ice cream, strawberry sauce, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream.

 - Dogs are awesome. Dogs are awesome, and now we have another reason to have one in our homes. A new study out of Australia concludes that young children living with at least one dog display far stronger emotional and social development than kids with no pups at home… Researchers say that kids with a pet dog were 23 percent less likely to have problems with their emotions or social interactions with others than children with no dog at home. Kids from a dog-owning household were also 30 percent less likely to act in an anti-social manner and 40 percent less likely to have trouble hanging out with other kids. Children with dogs are also 34 percent more likely to be considerate toward others (sharing, politeness).

 - McDonald's To Keep Dining Rooms Closed. Because of the COVID-19 case spike nationwide, McDonald's has decided to keep its dining rooms closed. McDonald's will not be opening any locations for in-restaurant dining for the next 21 days. The fast-food giant is urging any franchisees that re-opened dining rooms to follow local regulations and possibly shut down the area to limit potential coronavirus spread. McDonald's will continue to serve customers by drive-thru, takeout, and delivery.


 - Sega Genesis Mini. If you're craving some throwback gaming action, you might want to pick up the Sega Genesis Mini. The compact version of the classic console has 42 games including Sonic 2, Shinobi 3, and Beyond Oasis. Engadget says the price has been cut in half. $40 can get one in your home.  - Sliced bread. Today in 1928: Sliced bread was sold for the first time by the Chillicothe Baking Company of Chillicothe, Missouri. It was described as “the greatest forward step in the baking industry since bread was wrapped”.

 - America’s have gained 16 lbs. Americans have lost all hope of getting a summer body this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey of 2,000 Americans found that 63 percent are giving up on a summer body and are now focusing their efforts on achieving a post-quarantine body. 76 percent of 2,000 respondents shared they’ve gained up to 16 pounds during their time in isolation.
