• Surveillance footage in Maryland caught a burglar with a brick trying to break a restaurant’s bulletproof glass. He threw the brick only to have it bounce back and knock him unconscious. {Reminds me of the movie HOME ALONE: LOST IN NEW YORK]
• Everybody knows that’s the way the cookie crumbles, but did you ever wonder why? Researchers at Loughborough University in England say the problem may be due to humidity. They found that if the humidity of the oven is set incorrectly, some parts of the cookie are trying to dry out while some parts are trying to suck moisture in and the end result is like an earthquake running through it.
• [If you found your stolen truck, what would you do?] When a guy named Joe in California had his truck stolen, he didn’t get mad. He just stole it back. Joe was upset when the truck vanished from outside his office — he didn’t have insurance to replace it. As he was on his way to Oregon to buy a new car he spotted the ripped off truck headed the other way. He swung around and followed. He trailed the truck until the driver parked at a home and went inside. Joe slipped into the truck and drove it away.
• [Dentures can save YOUR life!] A couple in Croatia got caught up in a fight between two men over a debt, one of whom pulled a gun and shot at them at point blank range. The bullet grazed the cheekbone of the wife and slammed into the husband’s mouth. But instead of killing him, the shot got caught in his dentures and fell harmlessly to the ground.
