Radio Recap (Wednesday 01/30/19)
You know it’s a cold day when your teeth start chattering and they’re still on the nightstand…
In The News:
- KFC is testing a new Fried Chicken Sandwich. They describe it like this: “Made by coating a juicy, hand-breaded Extra Crispy chicken filet with special Cheetos sauce and placing it on a toasted bun with mayo and a layer of crunchy Cheetos, the Cheetos Sandwich will give you a blast of craveable Cheetos in every bite.”
- Our car steering wheel could be one of the most disgusting things that come into contact with your hands. CarRentals.com recently completed some research on germs in cars and it was found that 32 percent of the subjects clean their rides just once a year while 12 percent don’t clean them at all… Per the study, the steering wheel has 629 colony-forming units (CFUs). That is six times dirtier than the average cell phone screen, four times dirtier than a public toilet seat and two times dirtier than public elevator buttons. The survey also revealed that 20 percent of people eat in the car. This number seems really, really low.
- While plenty of shoppers stocked up on groceries and libations ahead of the record-shattering cold expected this week, everybody else seems to be ordering pizza. Pizza franchises across the country are reporting increased sales, particularly for deliveries.
- It is estimated that the average person opens the fridge 22 times daily.
- “Having kids will bring you closer.” Although children are a great source of joy, they’ll also cause you to lose time and privacy – testing your relationship in a whole new way. In fact, couples report that their relationships were tested the most when their children were born through age 4. So, if you decide to have kids, make sure you and your spouse are ready to handle the added stress because they’re anything but band-aids.
