In The News:- Today was Kite Flying Day… not sure that worked out here in the Ozarks.
- An Alabama 2-year-old was rescued from a restaurant’s claw machine when he crawled inside to try to get a toy. Kelsey Ingersoll said her son, Ezra, was playing with his siblings and other children in the game room at Rotolo’s Pizzeria when she lost sight of the boy. No one in the restaurant had the key to open the machine, so police and firefighters were called to the scene. Ezra was allowed to keep the toy he climbed inside the machine to retrieve.
- In the Netherlands, while a police officer was dealing with a disturbance, someone stole his phone from the patrol car. When he returned to the car and found it missing, he borrowed a phone from a bystander and called his own number. Immediately he heard a phone ring in the pants pocket of another man standing nearby.
- Last summer, IHOP teased that it would change its name to “IHOb” as part of a marketing campaign for its line of burgers. IHOP’s chief marketing officer said that the company sold four times more burgers after the campaign. At its peak, the company was selling 500,000 burgers per week.
