- 2001: Coordinated attacks resulted in the collapse of the World Trade Center in New York City, destruction of the western portion of The Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and a passenger airliner crash in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. In total, 2,974 people were killed in the September 11, 2001 attacks.

- A new survey has found many of you have no idea where your food comes from. In fact, 2 percent of you think bacon comes from a cow. 10 percent think tofu is a type of mushroom. 20 percent mistakenly think veal comes from a deer — rather than a calf.

- What’s the most stressful part of dining out? Apparently it’s not paying the bill, or trying to figure out the tip. Nope… a new survey reveals picking what to wear is the most stressful part of eating out.

- adults were asked what one thing should never be worn to a restaurant and No. 1 was flip-flops. Almost 40 percent of you think flip-flops in a restaurant are a no-no. Sandals was a close second. After all, who wants to see dirty feet while eating out? So crocs are okay? Asking for a friend.

- Yesterday, The new iPhones are the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. The Pro and Max each have a three-camera system, complete with a telephoto, ultra-wide, and regular lenses. Apple touted that each of the three cameras is capable of shooting in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second… The iPhone 11 Pro has a 5.8-inch display, and the Pro Max has a 6.5-inch display. Be prepared to shell out a grand or more for the phones.

- So there’s a good reason to stay up late! The early bird may get the worm, but there’s something to be said about burning the midnight oil. In fact, according to a study, staying up later and longer may increase alertness and productivity more than being an early riser… According to the study (reported in Scientific American) an hour and a half after waking, early birds and night owls were equally alert and showed no difference in attention-related brain activity. But after being awake for 10½ hours, night owls had grown more alert, performing better on a reaction-time task requiring sustained attention and showing increased activity in brain areas linked to attention.

- He bought his first home, spent thousands fixing it up, and now, six months later, a guy in the UK has learned his home doesn’t belong to him. Apparently the guy owns the apartment next door. He blames the real estate agent for the mistake. She marketed the property and provided the key to the unit where the man had been living. Now he has to start over and fix up his actual apartment.
