In The News:- According to a story from Engadget LG is rolling out a Keurig like machine that will make soft serve ice cream right there at your house. LG introduced its automated machine at SXSW called the SnowWhite. As of right now this is a concept, but this thing could be a real deal. LG said you'll be able to make ice cream, gelato and any other desserts in two to five minutes. https://www.engadget.com/2019/03/12/lg-snowwhite-ice-cream-maker-keurig/
- A review of research shows blocks, puzzles and other hands-on toys that have long been mainstays of children’s play are still best at teaching some skills needed for success. The researchers (University of Delaware in Newark) say although so-called “screen-based” entertainment can keep young kids occupied, technology is less effective than more traditional toys in teaching spatial reasoning to preschoolers.
- BAD JOKES ARE EASIER TO REMEMBER _ Scientists know why the best jokes are the hardest to remember, while the worst are easily called to mind. The greatest jokes work by subverting usual thought patterns, making them less memorable but funnier. In contrast, the structure and punchlines of cliched gags are so predictable it makes them easy to recall.
- Branson Ride The Ducks has been an important part of the Branson community for 47 years. We are deeply appreciative of the support we have received. Branson Ride The Ducks will not operate this season. Our building and property are a gateway to the economic engine of this community, however, and we want to ensure it continues to contribute during the upcoming season. To do so, we will be offering an all-new visitor experience at this location. Branson Top Ops will be a patriotic-themed experience offering an interactive outdoor maze, indoor laser tag, and other adventures. Ten percent of all proceeds for the 2019 season, with a minimum amount of $100,000, will be donated to First Responders, specifically to Local Police, Fire Department, and EMS, who put their lives on the line to make the Branson community a safer place to live, work, and play. In addition, all First Responders and Military will be offered discounted admission at Branson Top Ops. More information about the attraction is coming soon, and we look forward to working with the community to bring this new experience to Branson. http://bransontopops.com/

Researchers found that tea drinkers who liked their beverage to be warmer than 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit) and consumed more than 700 ml of tea per day -- about two large cups -- had a 90% higher risk of esophageal cancer, when compared to those who drank less tea and at cooler temperatures. The study looked at more than 50,000 people in Golestan, a province in northeastern Iran. This is why I drink coffee...

Bonus News (not mentioned on-air):The image of a woman angrily throwing her husband’s stuff out of the house by the armload has been a staple for romantic comedies, but it’s not how it’s done any longer. A woman in the UK upset over her husband’s affair is selling all of his stuff online — including her wedding ring. The man can’t stop his wife since he’s in jail for 30 days for drunk driving. His passenger at the time of his arrest was his mistress.
