In The News:- Yet another study concludes that eating chocolate, in moderation, is good for unclogging those blocked arteries. Of course, the study was done by the Mars candy company which makes M&M’s and Snickers bars, but the science looks sound. As you probably know the cocoa in chocolate contains something called “flavonoids” which act as an anti-oxidant and prevent plaque from forming along artery walls.
- A survey found most people do not want to be friends with their bosses or parents on social media. In the poll about who people don’t want as online friends, bosses topped the list with 86%. Parents came second with 74% followed by colleagues (69), relatives (61), and exes (52).
- What’s in the water at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine? Specifically, in the hospital’s Labor and Delivery Unit. Nine nurses in the unit are pregnant. All are due between April and July… There is a plan in place at the hospital to cover for all the women when they take their maternity leaves. There are 80 registered nurses currently working in the labor and delivery unit.
- An assailant spotted a blind man at a train station in Germany and thought he would be easy prey. What the attacker did not know was that his victim was a world-class blind judo wrestler. The assailant threatened the blind man, then punched him in the face, at which point the martial artist flipped him and held him down until police arrived.

Bonus News (not mentioned on-air):A California couple were surprised when they woke up and found a drunk burglary suspect asleep in bed with them. The couple called police, ran out of their house and watched officers arrest the man — who was still sleeping in their bed despite the sirens and commotion.
