In The News: - Manatee Appreciation Day
- A driver at a traffic stop in South Carolina tried to hide the smell of alcohol by spraying Axe Body Spray into his mouth…. In South Carolina (Spartanburg) sheriff’s deputies stopped a 49-year-old man after they say he sped past a deputy and swerved into another lane. When deputies pulled him over they say there was a 12-pack of beer on the floor and 10 of the beers were nearly empty. He also had an open bottle between his legs, exhibited signs of intoxication, and failed field sobriety tests. But right before the deputy got to the car, the driver sprayed Axe body spray in his mouth to cover the smell of alcohol.
- One in seven parents think they made a ‘terrible mistake’ with the name they chose for their child? That’s according to a new survey of parents. The survey also found that one in 20 parents calls their child something different than the name on their birth certificate because they no longer like it.
- Nickelodeon is rebooting the uber-popular children’s series Blue’s Clues — and calling it Blue’s Clues & You. The new “Steve” this time around will be Broadway actor Joshua Dela Cruz. The original show ran from 1996 to 2006.
