- 1937: Pennsylvania became the first state of the United States to celebrate Flag Day officially as a state holiday.

- The new movie Toy Story 4 has added the voices of comedy legends such as Carol Burnett, Carl Reiner, and Mel Brooks. [I guess they’re saving me for Toy Story 5.]

- f you’re under tremendous amounts of stress, forget about it. That’s what the brain does anyway. A study of human volunteers found response to increased levels in the stress hormone cortisol resulted in a gradual inability to remember or recall any verbal information. Severe, constant stress eliminated the ability of subjects to recall words, details and phone numbers.

- To avoid unwanted or unnecessary purchases, keep your hands off the goods. That was the conclusion of a study (University of Wisconsin-Madison and UCLA). Researchers wondered if touch influences the feeling of ownership and valuation of an object. They discovered that, yes, merely touching an object increases the feelings of ownership a person has for the object. This, in turn, results in a person being willing to pay more for most objects that they touch versus objects that they cannot touch.
