- On this day in 1937: Grocery chain owner Sylvan Goldman introduced the shopping cart at his Humpty Dumpty store in Oklahoma City. Goldman’s first cart was wheels and a basket on a folding chair.

- You may have more Facebook friends as the years go by but when it comes to your close friends, research shows you lose about half and replace them with new ones after about seven years.

- Do you love coffee? Drink up. Up to 25 cups of joe a day is ok for your heart. The research was done by the British Heart Foundation. Their look at cardio scans of over 8,000 people found no increased stiffness in the arteries for people who drank a lot of coffee. The BHF claims this debunks previous findings saying coffee drinking could be bad for the heart. it's not suggested you drink 25 cups a day but the study says your heart will be fine if you do.

- A new study (commissioned by Cambridge Weight Plan) finds a third of adults who have dieted told no one because they were ashamed. Researchers found many of those who have changed their diet were worried about failing publicly, while others were embarrassed to be dieting in the first place.

- Having a bad day? Police in the UK got a complaint about getting an ice cream that did not have enough sprinkles on it.
