- Busy office workers are managing to squeeze in a meager 16 minutes a day for lunch. Researchers found despite having a full hour to enjoy a break, many take a quarter of this period to eat, and nearly half will typically dine ‘al-desko’. … One in ten admit to eating the same meal for lunch EVERY day. 47 percent are bored of what they have for lunch. After using their desk as a meal table, 15 percent will go for a walk every day, stretching their legs for an average of 16 minutes.
- Summer means backyard barbecues, time at the beach, and a whole lot of sweat. Most of us would agree that using deodorant is a must-use before leaving the house during the sweltering months. But according to a shocking new poll (YouGov), nearly 40 percent of adults between the ages of 18 and 24 haven’t used either deodorant or anti-perspirant in the last month. In fact, 48 percent of them admitted they haven’t even bought these products in the last year.
- If you talk to yourself, keep doing it. According to science, talking to yourself is actually a good thing. It turns out that expressing some inner thoughts out loud can actually help you better conquer the present and future and is something we should all start doing. It’s suggested that writing down what you're grateful for on a regular basis and giving yourself "silent pep-talks" are beneficial for your mental state too. (just don’t do this in public)
- Vacation isn’t just for fun. Research shows time away from work is good for your mental health and the career you’ve temporarily put on hold. And vacation’s also good for seeing your life in new ways. A new study finds 37 percent of adults have had “life eureka” moments while on vacation or a trip away.
- Health experts have long warned of the risk of obesity, but a Japanese study warned that being very skinny is even more dangerous, and that slightly chubby people live longer. The study found people who are a little overweight at age 40 live six to seven years longer than very thin people.( looks like I might live forever)
