- Dunkin and Starbucks will begin serving up pumpkin spice drinks and treats in a few days, but if you can’t wait there’s always Pumpkin Spice Spam. The fake flavor was a viral thing in in 2017, but it goes public for real September 23 and will be available on Spam.com and Walmart.com.

- In the latest survey on smartphone use, the average adult spends three hours and 25 minutes on their phone every day — 52 minutes of which is spent on social media.

- Going off the grid is good for the soul — if you can survive the withdrawal symptoms. A new study looked at the emotional roller coaster of “digital detox” vacations and found that when tourists were cut off from digital access on a trip, they first felt an initial anxiety, frustration and withdrawal. But soon enough, they experienced growing levels of acceptance — even liberation. After their vacation, many participants found reconnecting overwhelming and upsetting as the flood of messages they’d received while offline flooded their devices.

- Like pancakes, eggs, bacon, waffles or Wheaties for dinner? You’re not alone: almost 70 percent of adults say they love breakfast for dinner.

- The company you keep can influence how much you eat. A study found that women eat more when they eat with a large group of female friends. However, if a woman eats with a smaller group of female friends, she eats less. When she dines with a man, she eats even less.

- State police in Washington found a vehicle on the shoulder of a highway and discovered the driver playing PokemonGo on eight different phones. The driver agreed to put the phones in the back seat before hitting the road again.

- Police in Daytona Beach, Florida, arrested a man who threatened his neighbors with nunchunks… before accidentally hitting himself on the head.

Bonus News (not mentioned on-air):A man was arrested by police in Honduras after he was caught begging while dressed up as a pregnant woman. The man told cops he was begging as a pregnant woman for two years and got three times as much money as he did when he begged dressed as a man.
