In The News:
- on this day in 1898: The Goodyear tire company was founded.

- Lemon Juice Day

- Sometimes you need to take time off work to attend a friend or family member’s wedding, baby shower, or birthday. Chances are, you’re not too happy about it. A survey found the average American worker receives 10 vacation days a year and spends about a third of those days on other people’s life events. Eighty percent of those polled wished they didn’t have to use vacation for anything other than their own time off.

- Employees of an engineering company in Pennsylvania got a Hot Wheels car to roll across 2,176 feet of track to break a Guinness World Record. The workers (at Benesch in Pottsville, Pennsylvania) said they started planning the attempt in February and gathered 100 volunteers, including nearly 50 children, to help set up the track this week… The volunteers laid out nearly 1,400 pieces of track and the toy car glided 2,176 feet, beating the previous record of 1,838 feet, set in Moscow in 2018… Evidence from the event is being submitted to Guinness for official certification

- Next time you check out of a hotel, be sure to look for your phone charger. A survey of hotel workers say chargers are one of the most common thing guests leave behind — but it’s not at all the strangest. Canes, toothbrushes, and camping cots (really?) are some of the weird things people leave behind after checking out of their hotel room. People don’t usually come back for most items, but one they do is false teeth.

Fun Fact:It is estimated that the average person living in North America does this 22 times daily. (Opens the fridge) #funfact
