- Earthlings, listen up: There are no fish, cannonballs, thigh bones, spoons or crab monsters on Mars. And there are no boots or robot legs. Just rocks. Lots and lots of rocks. The latest conspiracy theory NASA’s Mars Curiosity rover snapped a photo of the leg of an ancient robot. The boot-shaped object is actually a rock.

- If predictions come to pass, the number of natural redheads everywhere will continue to dwindle until there are none left by the year 2100. The reason, according to scientists in England, is that just 4 percent of the world’s population carries the red-hair gene. The gene is recessive and therefore diluted when carriers produce children with people who have the dominant brown-hair gene. The foundation says the way things are going, red hair will either be extremely rare or extinct by the end of the century.

- Calling all chocolate, peanut butter and donut lovers. Krispy Kreme and Reese’s have joined forces to create the dessert mashup of your dreams: Reese’s Lovers Original Filled Donuts. The new collaboration includes two different versions of the original glazed Krispy Kreme donut that is stuffed, drizzled and dipped in both chocolate and peanut butter. The Reese’s Original Filled Peanut Butter Lovers donut has more peanut butter than chocolate, and the Reese’s Original Filled Chocolate Lovers Doughnut has more chocolate than peanut butter.

- A man in Ashland, Oregon, accidentally threw his life savings into a recycling bin. The $23,000 in a shoebox was collected and soon on a truck bound for California. The next day, an employee at the recycling facility spotted the shoebox and rescued it. All but $320 was recovered.
