- Across the country on January 9th each year, citizens take the lead to show support on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. There are several ways to show your support. Send a note of thanks to your local, county or state police agency. Wear blue, turn your social media channels blue or shine a blue porch light to show your support.

- In Romania, a man complained to consumer protection officials after he tried to poison his neighbor’s dog and the poison didn’t work. The man now wants the government to sue the manufacturer of the poison.

- If you remember, the movie Back to the Future Part II predicted that by 2015 we would be up to Jaws 19. It was a joke pushed at Stephen Spielburg, with Marty remarking the shark still looks fake. We…. Sources say Universal Pictures is in early development on a remake of the original JAWS. Universal also wants original director Steven Spielberg to produce the film.

- If you are receiving texts, phone calls or direct messages about a military draft, An official tweet was sent out on Twitter… They are not official communications from the U.S. Army.

- In what might have been the most Wisconsin thing to pop up on Facebook last week, photos and video of someone driving through the state with a snowmobile strapped to the roof of a car created a bit of a stir. Tommy Mecher didn't have a trailer and wanted to save gas money so he put his 1990 Polaris snowmobile on top of his Chevy Malibu for the trip from Chicago to Bessemer, Michigan, last week. - While the Amish community does not reject all technology, its people are much more cautious and hesitant to embrace new and modern types of advancements.

You’ve heard the saying “Third time’s a charm?” Typically that means you got something right, or something went your way, on the third attempt. A New Jersey woman will hopefully learn a lesson being stuck in a clothing donation bin for a third time. The 38-year-old woman said she was trapped for days in the bin after someone pushed her in. Hopefully the third time will be a charm — and she’s learned to stay away from clothing donation bins.
