- On this day in 1914: Babe Ruth debuted in Major league baseball.

- On this day in 1955: The phrase In God We Trust was added to all U.S. currency.

- The Food and Drug Administration issued an alert about a sugar substitute and your pets. The FDA reports that your furry friend could become ill — or worse — if they ingest xylitol, a sweetener typically found in sugar-free products. It’s known as “sugar alcohol” and is popular in breath mints, toothpaste, sugar-free desserts, and baked goods.

- A gender reveal party in Australia went wrong. A car was supposed to burn its tires and send out blue smoke but the car caught fire.

- Tired of calls from unknown numbers? AT&T has a solution, on Tuesday it became the first major U.S. wireless company to automatically block robocalls for its customers and the best of all, it's free. How many robocalls do you think were placed last month alone? More than 4.3 billion, both legal and illegal, were placed during the month of June.

- Police officers in successfully resuscitated a pet rabbit by breathing through a ball point pen after he passed out in a house fire. Firefighters thought the rabbit was dead when they pulled him out of the house, but the cops brought him back to life by breathing through the pen and giving it a heart massage.

- In Mississippi, 36 cars and three semi-trucks suffered flat tires after a load of sheet metal screws spilled across a highway.
