- James Prudenciano was on a date at a New Jersey park (Hartshorne Woods Park) last wee when they got lost in the woods. (Sure… “lost.”) As it began getting dark, the pair fell into a ravine and decided to slide down in hopes of landing on solid ground. At the bottom they soon realized was just rocks … and a river. The duo held onto a cliff but James’ date eventually fell in the water and was slightly hurt. Luckily James’ Apple Watch detected a ‘hard fall,’ alerting authorities to the pair’s whereabouts. Both of the injured were taken to a pier by a passing boat, the transported to a hospital.

- An 11-year-old girl in Minnesota surprised even her father when she bagged an impressive 12-point buck last week. Making the feat even more impressive, it was the young girl’s first time shooting on a hunt.

- A couple dining at a New Jersey restaurant recently made an extremely rare find while enjoying a plate of oysters. Anton and Sheryl Schermer were in the middle of dinner on Saturday evening when Anton detected something hard “rolling around in his mouth. He then spit out the object, only to find it was a tiny pearl. An employee with the company that supplies the oyster said it was an extremely rare find — especially for the type of oyster Anton was eating, which came all the way from Washington State.

- Feel like you’re losing your hair on the job? You very well could be. A new study out of South Korea claims that working longer hours can double your chances of going bald. Men who work for more than 52 hours a week lost their hair twice as fast as those who log fewer than 40 hours. Scientists chalked up their accelerated alopecia to increased stress levels caused by too much work and not enough time off.

- Deputies in Florida say a man who stole a chicken wing from another diner was knocked out when another patron threw a pool ball at his head.
